Skiing
Just about 4 km away lies the Rosskopf, the local mountain of Sterzing. With its varied blue and red slopes totalling 15 km, it offers perfect conditions for skiers and snowboarders. In optimal snow conditions, you can even ski all the way down from the Rosskopf to the guesthouse – a first-class skiing experience.
The Ladurns ski area is about 9 km from the Knappenhof and, with its wide blue slopes, is ideal for beginners. Thanks to its location, it's also very snow-sure.
The Ratschings ski area offers a variety of slopes for all levels across 25 km. Wide, sweeping descents, cosy huts and short waiting times at the lifts make it a real insider tip.
You can reach the Rosskopf and Ratschings ski areas directly by ski bus from our guesthouse – so you can hit the slopes without any detours.
Cross-Country Skiing
The municipality of Ratschings offers a good 60 km of cross-country trails. Whether leisurely or ambitious – the extensive trail network has the right route for everyone.
Tobogganing
At Rosskopf, the 10 km toboggan run invites you to a fun sledding adventure. From the summit station, you can toboggan 6.5 km down to Telfes or 10 km back to the valley station. Along the way, various huts invite you to stop for a break.
